Life is like a box of chocolates- You never know what you are going to get- Forest Gump

Welcome to my blog.  I am a mother of four healthy, wonderful children.  I have three boys and one girl.  She is number three in the mix, but she can hold her own with all of her brothers.    This summer they will be 12, 10, 7, and 5.  They are great ages.  We are done w/ diapers (and have been for a few yrs) and the 12 yr old still loves us.  What more can we ask for – for them to start making their own money to pay for their expenses?

As many of us quickly learn after we get married and have your first child, “You can’t live on love.”   I don’t know who put this idea into my head?  Because you have to have MONEY to just survive and provide the basics for your family. We really had no idea how much money it was going to cost to clothe, feed, send them to school, and even pay for their activities.  Again- “You can’t live on love.” But it is fun trying.

This blog is dedicated to helping families to make the right and informed choices when it comes to their finances, their health and wellness, and to raising their family.  There is no need for all of us to go to the school of hard knocks!

Through lots of hard work and dedication I think we are finally on the right track.  I know the struggles we have been through are more common for most families than not.
